Here’s a quiz for you: what’s quick, easy and looks great!? Today’s card, that’s what! I was running out of time to get this card made, and really need quick & easy. But of course, you still want an easy project to look great! So, I pulled out a stencil, a blender brush, 1 stamp set and 2 inks. Voila!
SENDING WELL WISHES
I used a Stampin’ Up! set from my older stash, called Dandelion Wishes. I think the stencil is from an old project kit – I’ve had it for forever! But it’s a nice scallop, so I used it for the background.
This is a soft, pretty card that is perfect for someone who needs a pick-me-up.
Start with a panel of white cardstock. Lightly spray the back of your stencil with a temporary adhesive, or use low-tack tape to hold it in place, Use a blender brush and apply Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink. Remove and clean your stencil.
Set up your panel and the stamps in your MISTI or other stamp platform. Ink up the main image and sentiment with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink, and stamp onto the panel. If you need to, you can re-ink & stamp again for a crisp image. Now clean & remove those stamps, and line up the dandelion ‘fluff’ stamp near the sentiment. Ink & stamp it in the same Vintage Photo ink.
Create a card base of dark brown cardstock. Attach a smaller panel of light pink cardstock – approx. 4 1/8″ x 3 1/2″ – towards the left side of the card base. Now attach your image panel, using foam tape or squares. Finish off your card by adding some light pink enamel dots.
