Hey there, friend! It’s time for another challenge with the Paper Craft Crew. I hope you’re ready – this was a bit of a tough one for me. It’s a Romantic Moments Inspiration Challenge, since we’re getting close to Valentine’s Day. It was a tough challenge for me, because I don’t really do ‘mushy’ cards; you know, the really sentimental type. Unless they’re sympathy cards – then that usually goes on the inside. Let’s see what you think about it!
ROMANTIC MOMENTS INSPIRATION CHALLENGE
Here’s the inspiration visual for the challenge. You don’t have to use the drink glasses; you can use the theme, or the colours for your inspiration.
I decided to go with the flowers in my card, and a nice sentiment. Have a look, and let me know if I’ve captured the ‘romantic moments’ theme.
EVERLASTING HAPPINESS
Well, at least the name of this Altenew stamp set, Everlasting Happiness, is in the right ballpark! This card is quite different from my usual, with very minimal ink involved.
A very minimal card, but I think that the colours and sentiment convey the message.
CARD DETAILS
On a piece of white cardstock, stamp the smaller of the floral wreaths in Versamark ink. Cover with gold embossing powder, and heat set. Next, stamp the sentiment in the middle in Versamark. Repeat the steps with the gold embossing powder. Next, use a dark pink marker to add flicks of colour to the inner part of the flowers. Now, use scissors to cut out the wreath.
With nesting circle dies, die cut different sizes from gold & white patterned paper, and 2 circles from gold foil. On a dark pink cardstock panel, glue the on the circles. Next, create some loops of gold thread, and attach them to the back of the wreath image. Now, attach the wreath to the middle front of the panel. Attach the whole panel to a light pink card base. Finish off the card front by adding some gold metallic pearls to the upper left and bottom right of the card.
This card comes together very quickly, with minimal supplies needed.
