ROOTED IN NATURE CARD
I hope you’re not getting tired of my cards with the Rooted in Nature stamp set! Because I’m nowhere near finished creating with it! Just think – this stamp set was just released, and I have a whole year to play with it! Hopefully I’ll convince you, during the year, that this set, plus the coordinating Nature’s Roots Framelits, belong in your craft room.
With this card, I’m showing off the stamp set, the thinlits and the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper.
DETAILS
Create a card base of Soft Suede cardstock. Add a panel of Petal Pink cardstock on top, with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Take a panel of Nature’s Poem DSP, and cut on an angle; measure up 2 1/2″ on the right hand side. Attach it to the Petal Pink cardstock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Stamp the sentiment from the Rooted in Nature stamp set in the bottom right corner, with Tranquil Tide ink.
On a piece of Vellum cardstock, stamp 1 large leaf and 2 smaller leaf images in Versamark ink. Cover the images with White Embossing Powder, and set with the Heat Tool. Next, use the Big Shot with the Nature’s Roots Framelits to die cut the leaves. Layer and attach them to the card front on the left side of the bottom of the DSP, with Mini Glue Dots. Tie a bow from (retired) Shimmer Ribbon in Tranquil Tide, and attach it on top of the leaves with more Glue Dots.
I love how the embossed Vellum looks like a ‘skeletonized’ leaf, that you would find in late fall.
WHAT TO DO WITH THE CUT OFF DSP
Well, we never waste pretty paper, do we?! On the inside of the card, attach a panel of Whisper White cardstock. Next, use the liquid glue to attach the piece of DSP that you had cut from the bottom of the front panel. It adds a pretty statement to the inside of the card – and no waste!
