Hello Stamping Friends!

Okay – when I say 'Santa's Big Day', I'm not talking about Christmas!  Not yet, anyway.  We have a wonderful friend (my husband has known him since, it seems like forever), and Harley IS Santa – at least, he is at this time of the year!  The rest of the year, he's a really nice guy who happens to look a lot like a certain someone, who lives in the North Pole!

So anyway, Harley's birthday was on the 20th, and my husband asked me if I could make a card for Harley – "a nice, big Santa" – he said.  Well, yes, I could!  And did!

How do you like it?

I got the idea for this card from another talented demo named Joyce Whitman in Ohio (www.joycewhitman.stampinup.net) I changed a couple of things, but hey – Santa is Santa, right? 🙂

I used card stocks in Real Red, Whisper White, and Blushing Bride; the Perfect Dots Embossing Folder; Bird Builder Punch (mustache), Boho Blossoms Punch (ball on hat), 1" Circle Punch (mouth) and 1/2" Circle Punch (eyes).

I punched the 'HO HO HO' (Oh Goodie stamp set #131889 $10.95cm/#131885 $13.95wm) with the Modern Label Punch (#119849 $22.95).  I added the Festive Flurries snowflake embellishment onto Santa's hat, just for a little bling.

I'm really pleased with how this card turned out; and it turned out that Harley liked it, too!

Well, it's getting down to crunch time now; I have a few more presents to wrap, some house cleaning to finish up, and preparation for the family coming over for dinner on the 25th!

I hope that you have a very Merry Christmas, however you choose to celebrate, and wish you all the best for a Happy New Year!

See you after Christmas!  Until then – HO HO HO!! 🙂

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
