SLIM LINE DIE CUTTING SYSTEM
Did you know that PFS says that you can create 256 cards, using this complete system?! Yes – 256! Simply by mixing and matching the layouts, the possibilities are almost endless. You get the following dies with this system: Card base 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2″; Layering Base 8 1/4″ x 3 1/4″; 3 Circles 2 1/2″, 3 Squares 2 1/4″. This system can be used with any die cutting machine that is at least 6″ wide and 8 1/2″ long. So if you have a Big Shot, like me, you’re ready to go!
BEGIN ANEW
Once I had decided how I wanted my slim line card to look, I chose the stamps and colours.
CARD DETAILS
First, I cut out the Layering base, with the 3 circles horizontally across the middle. Next, I used my alcohol markers to colour in the grass and fence. To ensure proper placement of the stamped images, I lightly traced the circles onto another piece of white cardstock of the same size.
Stamp the birds from the Penny Black Wreath & Wings stamp set in Nocturne ink. Colour with alcohol markers, and then blend on Broken China Distress Oxide ink across the top of all 3 circles. Stamp the sentiment in the middle circle in Nocturne ink. The sentiment is from another PFS stamp set, called Early Tulip Bouquet. I thought that these words were perfectly suited to a New Year’s card!
Layer the die cut top Layering Base over the stamped piece, using foam squares to add dimension. Next, add the card front to a light blue card base. To add more interest to the front, I added some blue and iridescent rhinestones from my stash.
The photo above shows you more of the dimension from the die cut layering, as well as using the foam squares for layering.
