Good morning, stamping friend! I hope you had a good weekend, and feel refreshed for the week 🙂 I’m back today to share my second swap card, from last Friday’s card swap with friends. For this card, I used the Host exclusive Merry Patterns stamp set. There’s still time for you to get this set for FREE, with a qualifying party or purchase! You can read the details in THIS POST on how you can get this set – but only until October 31st!
MERRY PATTERNS
This card is fun, in traditional red and green for the holidays. And don’t you just love that plaid?!
SUPPLIES:
Stamp Set: Merry Patterns, Carols of Christmas. Papers: Whisper White, Real Red and Pear Pizzazz cardstock, Christmas Around the World DSP. Inks: Real Red, Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Gold Craft (non-SU!). Accessories: Banner Triple Punch, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Big Shot, Softly Falling Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
DETAILS
This card comes together quite quickly, and is fun to make! First, stamp the candles image in Memento black ink onto Whisper White cardstock. Next, stamp the 1st set of candle images in Real Red ink, then the 2nd set in Pear Pizzazz. I love that the candle images come in 2 stamps, each made to fit the front & back rows of candles! Stamp the greenery image in Garden Green underneath the front of the candles. Use the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits to die cut the Pear Pizzazz square, then cut your candles panel to 1/8″ less than that size.
Cut a length of Christmas Around the World DSP to 2″ wide and about 4 1/2″ long. Use the Banner Triple Punch on one end. Run the Real Red 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. Finally, stamp the sentiment in Real Red ink onto Whisper White, then snip banner tails on each end.
PUTTING IT TOGETHER
Attach the embossed red cardstock onto your Whisper White card base, with Dimensionals. Use the Liquid Glue to attach the plaid banner down the middle, then attach the Pear Pizzazz square on top, with Dimensionals. Add the stamped panel in the middle of the Pear Pizzazz square, then add the sentiment just underneath the candles – both with Dimensionals.
REMEMBER THE INSIDE!
Create a 4″ x 5 1/2″ Whisper White panel for the inside of the card. Stamp your sentiment in Real Red ink. I added the ornaments image from the Carols of Christmas stamp set, using a gold craft ink that’s non-Stampin’ Up! (since we don’t have any). This was just a short cut for me; if I didn’t have this ink, I would’ve stamped in Versamark ink, then embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. You can see in the 1st image above that I also stamped the ornaments on the back flap of the envelope 🙂
ORDER YOUR SUPPLIES
As I said, the Merry Patterns stamp set can’t be bought; it can only be earned for free with a qualifying purchase or party order of $375 or more (before tax/shipping). If you’ve never hosted a party before – you’re missing out on some serious fun!! READ MORE ABOUT HOSTING A PARTY TO EARN THIS SET HERE! The rest of the supplies I used can be ordered in my online store, which is open 24/7 for your convenience.
