Welcome back, stamping friend, to another Sketch Challenge with the Paper Craft Crew!

Here is this week’s sketch for you:

pcccs217

And this is my card:

PCCCS217 Cozy Critters

I used a new stamp set that I got; it’s a Hostess Set in the Holiday Catalogue called Cozy Critters.  It has 3 images that coordinate with 3 of our Builder Punches; the Owl, the Fox and the Hat.  This time, I decided to stamp directly onto the cardstock, though.

I started with a small piece of Whisper White cardstock, and stamped the branch by colouring it with my Crumb Cake and Emerald Envy Stampin’ Write Markers.  I stamped the owl in Memento Black ink, and used the Markers in Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry.  The ornaments were stamped in Real Red and Daffodil Delight inks.

The stamped panel was layered onto a piece of Emerald Envy cardstock with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the card base, I used Emerald Envy cardstock, layered with a panel of  Presents and Pinecones Designer Series Paper.  After gluing the stamped  panel onto the front, I added some strips of Washi Tape, using the retired Glitter Tape and the In Colour Washi.

I then die cut the word Merry in Gold Foil Paper and the retired Expressions Thinlits Dies (I don’t have the new Christmas Greetings Thinlits yet).

I  hope you’ll check out the cards created by the rest of the Design Team – go to the Paper Craft Crew blog page, then link up your card for the challenge.  You just may be the next Top Pick!

Until next time – happy stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
