I think it’s safe to say that a good time was had by all, this past Saturday!
Over 300 Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from B.C., Alberta, and Washington State (and possibly other locales) gathered at the Vancouver Convention Centre to enjoy a full day at the Stampin’ Up! On Stage Convention 🙂
It was a great day (although an early start – 5:45 is earlier than I’m used to getting up) starting at 7:30 with Registration and Bag pickup; meeting with friends I haven’t seen since the last SU! event, and making new friends. I was thrilled to attend with 2 of my team members, Chantal (left) and Lynn (right). Here’s the 3 of us, at the main doors:
This is a picture of us with Hetty Jones, a wonderful friend and talented demonstrator from Alberta. I think the picture is a bit blurry because we were all laughing! 🙂
Each table was decorated with a centerpiece (notice the balloon theme carrying through?), the list of the days events, and a tote that was filled with the tools we would need for the day’s stamping. (nope – I can’t show you the stamp sets – yet!)
Along with all of the friendship, laughter and stamping, we were treated to stage demonstrations from talent from the Stampin’ Up! home office in Utah, as well as fellow demonstrators, showing off the fabulous cards and projects they made using the new stamp sets and products.
Here are 2 amazing demonstrators and friends – Penny Hanuszak and Beverly Gajsek, who were just 2 of the many demonstrators who created project boards featuring new stamp sets in the upcoming catalogues. These boards were on display for everyone to see, take pictures and get more great ideas of how to use all of the amazing products!
I’m not allowed to share with you YET pictures of the new products coming out in January (other countries still are having their events, so we don’t want to spoil their surprise!), but I will be able to share by the end of Monday.
Another fun perk of these events is PRIZE PATROL!! At intervals throughout the event, a different letter (from the name Stampin’ Up!) would be called out, and everyone who had that letter on their attendee badge, won that prize! And the prizes were new stamp sets!!
Here are Lynn, Chantal and I with our Prize Patrol prizes – but we had to cover up the front of the stamp sets, so we didn’t spoiler any surprises!
I have so many more pictures to share with you – but I’m going to stop now! (I know – I’m such a tease!). I will be back later though, to share with you pictures of the swaps I received, and when I’m allowed, I’ll share pictures of what I can.
In the meantime – here are pictures of the swaps I made; the 1st is a Christmas card using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, the Fancy Frost Specialty Paper, and the Presents and Pinecones DSP:
I was also in a gift swap; I used the adorable Clear Tiny Treat Boxes, decorated Real Red cardstock with cut-outs from the Candy Cane Lane DSP, and added a poinsettia punched from Real Red cardstock using the Festive Flower Builder Punch. Inside, I tucked an EOS Lip Balm:
I’ll be back later with more to share! Until then – happy stamping!
Glad you had a good time!!! Maybe next year we can all meet in SLC!
That would be awesome, Buffy!
