Hello Stamping Friends!
My gosh – I can't believe I haven't posted in a week – where has the time gone?! I have been busy – how about you?
We just celebrated Thanksgiving here (in Canada) on Monday; actually we had the big family dinner on the Sunday, so we had some relaxing time on Monday. Our weather has been holding out nicely, so we had a beautiful sunny Thanksgiving day 🙂
I've been working on projects for an upcoming Christmas Craft Fair for next month; I know, right?! Christmas?!! Already??!!! Yikes – but yes, it's coming, and I have to be prepared a little sooner than most people, with a Fair in November, and another in December. I'm only doing the 2 fairs this year, as I find it's just such a busy time of year, with year-end classes, and family get togethers.
Speaking of classes – my 'Spooky Banner' class turned out to be just my good friend Susan and I – but we still had a ghoulishly good time! 🙂 We were both thrilled with how are banners turned out, and it was great to hear Susan say "I was so worried that this was going to be difficult to do – but it wasn't!" She loved it so much, she's signed up for the Christmas Banner class, too!
Here's some pictures of our handy work:
This is Susan – so proud of her banner! And for good reason!
These close up's of the banners show you the detail; we used only what was included in the Kits, with the exception of the Ink, Adhesives, Daubers, and the 2 extra Rosettes I made for each of us, made from Witches Brew Designer Series Paper. All of the other ribbon, and embellishments were included! We used Pumpkin Pie and Summer Starfruit inks for the backgrounds on the banners, and Basic Black for the letters. I think they turned out really well – what do you think?
I think you get the idea that we had fun with our creations; there's still room in the upcoming Christmas Banner class – give me a call to reserve your spot – but do it by October 21st!
As I said earlier, I'm working on projects for the Craft Fairs; and I thought I had figured out what I was going to make, and which stamp sets to use – then today, Stampin' Up! came out with this adorable Photopolymer Stamp Set, called "Endless Wishes"
It has a total of 19 stamps – 3 beautiful snowflakes, and 16 words and/or phrases, that can be combined in almost endless combinations! And at only $16.95, it makes my wish for inexpensive stamps come true! I think I'm just going to have to add this one to my list – what about you?
