Springtime Impressions Thinlits

If you love detailed die cuts, then you’ll want to add the Springtime Impressions Thinlits to your shopping list! A set of 3 dies, they compliment the Abstract Impressions stamp set. You can purchase the two in a bundle, and Save 10%!

For my project today, I used just the thinlits – have a look.

Isn’t this pretty!? I used some of our new colours for this card.

First, cut your Pineapple Punch cardstock so that the large thinlit fits inside, with just a bit of extra cardstock around the edges. This way, your cardstock will remain intact, when you remove the die cut.

Use the Big Shot with the Springtime Impressions Thinlits to die cut the large floral piece from the Pineapple Punch panel. Carefully remove the cut out pieces. Use Sponge Daubers with the Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green ink pads to colour the largest flowers and the leaves. I left the smaller flowers uninked, as I like the Pineapple Punch colour. You could of course use another ink pad to colour them.

Create your card base from Whisper White cardstock. Attach the die cut negative to the base, with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Now add dots of the liquid glue to the back of the die cut sponged image, and fit it back into the negative space. You could also apply the liquid glue by squirting a bit of glue onto your Silicone Craft Sheet, picking it up with a Sponge, and applying it to the die cut. Whichever way works best for you!

Stamp the sentiment, from the Accented Blooms stamp set, in Mango Melody onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Die cut it with the Big Shot and the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Also, die cut the small flower from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits from Pineapple Punch cardstock, and then sponge it with the Mango Melody dauber.

Attach the sentiment oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and then attach the die cut flower beneath it, with Mini Glue Dots.

Colouring using Sponge Daubers is quick, and easy!

Even though my card base is Whisper White, I still like to add another panel for stamping on, inside the card.

Since I haven’t decided who or for what reason I’m going to send this card, I didn’t add a stamped sentiment yet. However, I did add another die cut and sponged small flower. This ties the outside of the card together with the inside.

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

    1. Thank you, Buffy! It was fun to figure out how to show off a die, that doesn’t have a ‘matching’ stamp!

    1. Glad you like my bright colours, Susan πŸ™‚ With the rain lately, I had to have some brightness!
