Springtime Rendezvous

How would you like to meet me for a springtime rendezvous, at this lovely little cafe? Today I’m sharing this card with you using the Charming Cafe stamp set and coordinating Cafe Builder Framelits.

Spring Rendezvous

Can’t you just see yourself sitting there, sipping a latte, or nice cup of tea, chatting with a friend? I think the world couldn’t go wrong with more of these types of places! 🙂

Since it is officially Spring – according to the calendar, if not the actual outside weather – I thought I’d use some cheerful spring-y colours! The card base is Peekaboo Peach, which will be retiring soon, so be sure to stock up! Also retiring soon, just an FYI, is the Bundle pricing on the Charming Cafe Bundle, which includes the Charming Cafe stamp set and the Cafe Builder Framelits.

Here’s a tip – grab the Bundle, plus stock up on the retiring In Colors now, before Sale-A-Bration ends (March 31st), and you can ALSO earn yourself a FREE SAB product or two! You’re welcome! 🙂

Okay – now back to the details! Use the Big Shot and the Brick Wall Embossing Folder and emboss a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Wisteria Wonder cardstock. Attach that to your Peekaboo Peach cardstock base.

Trim a piece of Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper to 2″ x 4 1/2″; use the Banner Triple Punch to create banner tails on one end. Attach it to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. With the Layering Ovals and Big Shot, die cut a large oval from Whisper White cardstock. At the top, stamp the sentiment from the Charming Cafe stamp set in Peekaboo Peach ink.

On a separate piece of Whisper White, stamp the table & chairs image, and 2 of the topiaries, in Memento Black ink. Colour them with your Stampin’ Blends markers in Old Olive Combo pack and Crumb Cake Combo Pack for the topiaries, and Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight Combo Packs for the rest. Use the Big Shot and Cafe Builder Framelits to die cut them, and attach them underneath the sentiment, with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I love all the details in this set, that make it so true-to-life!

Now you can attach the oval panel to your card front.

I’ll probably just hand write a message on the inside of this card, so I just stamped half of the floral oval image, and used my Blends to colour in the flowers.

As I mentioned earlier, Sale-A-Bration ends in only 9 days!! So now is definitely the time to stock up on your supplies, take advantage of Bundle pricing, and get your retiring In Color products, before they’re gone. The bonus, of course, is that your qualifying order will earn you FREE Sale-a-Bration products!  And with even more products added (from current catalogues) there’s sure to be something that you’d love to have for FREE! That’s my favourite price – FREE 🙂

Click on the product images below for the items I used on this card. You can also shop online in my store 24/7, for any other products you may need as well. Thanks for supporting me with your orders!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

  1. This reminds me of when I went to Paris many moons ago and sat in an outdoor cafe to have a glass of wine. This is a lovely card, Deborah!

    1. That sounds amazing, Susan! The only part of Paris I’ve visited was the airport – sitting inside a plane, on the runway 🙁 One day I’ll get there!

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
