Hi everyone!  I hope you’re enjoying your Saturday, whether it’s your lazy day, or your run-around-get-things-done day 🙂  It’s usually a combination for me; I usually sleep in, having had a class the night before, but once I’m up, it’s go, go, go.

We had such fun last night with the Hooray It’s Your Day Project Kit, that I wanted to share it with you.  Unfortunately we were so busy during the class, that I forgot to take pictures 🙁 , but here’s a picture of what I call “craftermath”; you know, what your craft area looks like after a spectacularly productive session!

This is just my seat – and it’s not actually that bad, because I have such a wonderful group of ladies, that they did their best to tidy up before they left!  Aren’t they the best!? 🙂

I have to say, the picture in of this kit in the Catalogue, while showing all the pieces of the kit, just can’t do it justice.  This is what it looks like, in the catalogue:

I mean, sure – you think to yourself ‘wow, it’s got lots of parts to it!’ – but everyone at the class last night was so impressed with how all the cards come together, and how you use all the parts of the kit (and have so many tools left over, after building the cards – like the stencils and the spritzers); one person said that it “exceed their expectation”!

So, because I forgot to take pictures during the class – here is what the cards look like when completed (I took pictures of my own cards):

hooray its your day

And here are the cards open –

hooray its your day - open

You can see on the far left the tab card, which used the scallop stencil, then the gift card holder; a standard card with the balloon which used the sun stencil; then in the front is the file folder with the ‘tab card’ insert – these are so cute, and unique!

We used the coordinating Hooray Its Your Day stamp set, but you could substitute your favourite stamp set, if you wish.  We used Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz  ink refills for the spritzing, and Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo ink pads for the stamping.    The total kit makes 20 cards; 5 each of 4 designs.  That’s a lot of cards to carry you through at least part of  the birthday season! 🙂

Next Friday we’ll be using the Build a Bouquet Project Kit – I can’t wait to see the beautiful flowers everyone will be making!  I’ll do my best to remember to take pictures during the class, too! 😉

If you’d like to order this kit, or any of the products we used making it, just click on the picture icons below, and you’ll be taken directly to my online store.

Until next time – happy stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
