Hello, Stampin' Friends!

Well, I'm back from a weekend in Tacoma – if you don't already know, I was there to attend the Regional SU!  Convention – along with several hundred of my closest friends! LOL  Actually, it was held for demonstrators and their guests; I met up with my upline and 2 other demos in our group, and got to meet some fabulous ladies from the Pacific Northwest, some of whom I had met on  line already on our Demonstrator website.

It was a great day – we started early; registration was between 8:00-9:00am – I was there just after 7:30 to get in line! 🙂  Here's a picture of the Tacoma Convention Centre, and inside at the Registration tables.

After checking in, we all lined up outside the doors to the conference room (more like the size of a ballroom!), and did some swapping while we waited.  I really wish I had brought more swap cards, because I swapped all  mine before the doors even opened!  However, I did still have my swap cards saved for the SUDSOL swap, which we planned to do during lunch break.

When the doors opened at 9:00am – we all rushed in!! You can't imagine several hundred women all rushing (trying to retain some decorum, and not actually run!) to get a table closest to the stage as possible!  Our group got a good table near  the front, so that we were able to get some terrific pictures of the presenters and the projects the shared and demonstrated.

Before the first presenter, I wandered around and took pictures of the terrific display boards placed by SU! The boards shared cards and scrap book pages made by demonstrators and staff from the home office; here's some to share with you!

As I was making my way back to the table to get ready for the start of the presentations, you won't believe who I saw!  Yes – it was Shelli Gardner, the Founder & CEO of Stampin' Up!!  I actually got to speak to her, and have my picture taken with her    It was wonderful to meet her; when I expressed my surprise at her being there, she explained that she tries to attend as many Regionals as possible, sometimes having to choose between locations if more than 1 occur on the same date.  We were thrilled that she chose to be with us in Tacoma!

Tomorrow I will post more pictures – the terrific swap cards I received, and the presentations that were done!  I hope you're looking forward to seeing more pictures, 'cause I'm looking forward to more sharing!

Until tomorrow – Happy Stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)
