Tea for Two Scrap 'N Stamp Blog Hop

Welcome to our first Blog Hop of 2022! If the last 2 plus years have taught us anything, it’s that togetherness is a good thing. So we’re celebrating a Tea For Two themed Hop; focused more on the togetherness than necessarily ‘tea’. *wink*

HUGS IN MUGS

I was thrilled with this theme for the Hop, because that meant I could use my brand new Honey Bee Mugs & Kisses Die set!

Tea for Two Scrap 'N Stamp Blog Hop

This was such  fun to create! This set comes with lots of great additions, so that you can add marshmallows, a tea bag, hearts and more.

CARD DETAILS

First, use your Big Shot to die cut the pieces. The two mugs (there’s 2 dies, so that the mugs face opposite directions!) are cut from light pink & light blue cardstock. Cut the snowflakes from white glitter paper, the steam from white cardstock, the coffee/tea from light brown paper, and the spoon from silver foil paper.

Add colour to the mugs by blending Picked Raspberry distress ink to the bottom of the pink mug, and Faded Jeans to the blue mug. Next, sponge on some Tea Dye ink to the steam and to the coffee/tea inserts. Stamp the sentiment from the MFT Friends at First Sip set in Nocturne ink on white cardstock.  Cover it with clear embossing powder, and heat set. Then, die cut it with a stitched oval die. Now you can assemble the card. Layer dark brown cardstock onto a light blue base, and glue the sentiment at the bottom. Now, glue on the blue mug, and then add the pink mug using foam squares. attach the snowflakes and steam using glue dots, and then glue the spoon over the sentiment.

Isn’t that cute? I went with snowflakes for winter, but you could use the heart shaped die, for a Valentine’s Day card. Also, I would’ve gone with a tea theme, but sadly I don’t have any sentiments for tea!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

  1. Such a heartwarming card. It’s nice that Honey Bee made both a left and right handled mug dies in this set.

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
