The Lucky Winner Is..

It’s announcement time! Last Friday was the final day to enter my World Watercolor Month Giveaway. To enter, all you had to do was send me a photo of one of your watercolour projects – that’s it! So today I’m announcing that the Lucky Winner is….*drumroll*… JACKIE S.!!  Congratulations, Jackie!  You have won this beautiful Art Pouch, which I had ordered from the Doodlewash #worldwatercolormonth Souvenir shop.

The Lucky Winner Is..

I hope that you like hummingbirds (and flowers) as much as I do, Jackie!  I know that you’ll love this pouch – it has a top zipper closure, and is made of sturdy waterproof nylon. So if you’re like me and have a bit of a messy desk, it’ll be safe from any drips & drops!

I’ve known Jackie for several years – at least, on line. Jackie is an awesome artist, whom I met through mutual friends, when I was a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. I just LOVE Jackie’s style of card making and her paintings are wonderful. She’s a natural artist – this one painting she submitted is also posted on her blog, so I’m sure she won’t mind me sharing it here.

I just love the loose watercolour, with the blown ink! Yet you can still clearly see that this is a  chicken. Or you can be interpretive, and call it a different kind of bird. It’s difficult to see, but Jackie also used a bit of iridescent paint around the eye.  To read the details of her painting, please head to Jackie’s blog post HERE. I’d also recommend subscribing to her blog, if  you like card making, and cool art! Please ask Jackie to share more of her paintings – they need to be seen! 🙂

Jackie, please send me an email with your mailing address, so that I can send you your prize! And thank you very much for taking part in my challenge; I hope that you had fun creating your paintings, as I really enjoyed seeing them. Please, share more with all of us!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)
