The Same, But Different

Hello my friend! Did you notice something different on my blog today? I’d like to welcome you to my new brand “Thistle Designs“!

The Same, But Different

Do you love my new logo?! It was designed by my son! The thistle is a nod to my heritage; I’m proudly Canadian. I’m also proud to have Scottish & Irish heritage. My parents & grandparents are Scottish, and my roots go further back to Ireland. I thought of adding a shamrock, but I wanted to keep the name easy to remember.

WHAT STAYS THE SAME?

Just about everything else is the same, but different. I’ve of course updated my ‘Contact Us’ button. When you use this button, your email will be directed to me, Deborah, at Thistle Designs. When you sign up for my newsletter, you’ll now receive it from ‘Thistle Designs’.  What will stay the same is the same friendly voice, the same fun projects, and the same awesome affiliates. I will continue to create using stamps, inks, stencils, alcohol inks, resin, watercolour and all different kinds of mediums.

WHAT WILL BE DIFFERENT?

In the coming days & weeks, I’ll be adding an online store! I’m very excited about this venture! I’ll be offering a several different things for you to purchase directly from me. No ‘middle-man’; you’ll be ordering from me, and dealing directly with me, the proud owner!

You may recall that I’ve been sharing alcohol ink projects like earrings, pendants, coasters and various art work. I’ve also been sharing watercolour paintings. Those are some of the things that you’ll be able to purchase, from my new store.

Another venture in which my son, who designed my new logo, is joining me, is photo cards! Both of us love to travel, and to take pictures. These photo cards are all from pictures taken personally by us. Each photo card will come with a description of the image, and where it was taken. You’ll see a range of photos of architecture, botanical images, landscapes and more. I know you’ll find something you’ll love for yourself, or to send to a friend or family member.

SIGN UP TO BE IN THE KNOW

If you haven’t already, I hope that you’ll sign up for my newsletter! I will be back to sending out regular newsletters, at least one per month. So you don’t have to worry about being ‘spammed’ constantly – I don’t do that! My newsletters will include letting you know of new products in my own store, as well as new specials or products in the crafting market. I’ll also be sharing new projects and techniques, as I learn them & create.  Signing up is easy, and of course free! Just fill in the blanks on the left side  of this page – it’s that easy.

THANK YOU FOR READING MY BLOG

I couldn’t keep doing this without you, my friend! Yes, I can keep blogging & creating without anyone reading or seeing what I do. And I’d probably do it anyway – creators gotta create, right? But you make all the difference! I’ve been post almost every day here, for the past 8 years. Yes – 8 years!! And I love to read your comments & feedback, whether it’s about my projects, techniques, or what you’d like to see me share. So please – keep reading and commenting! You really do make my day better 🙂 I will be keeping thing the same, but different!

I’ll be back here again tomorrow – I hope to see you then!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)
