Tic Tac Toe Challenge PCC324

Have you got your creative hat on today?! This week,  the Paper Craft Crew Design Team has Tic Tac Toe challenge PCC324 for you. These challenges are such fun, because there are so many different choices that can be made. The result is such a variety of cards, it’s fun to see what everyone creates.

Here’s the Tic Tac Toe board for you! You must choose 1 line; either horizontal, vertical or diagonal, and include all 3 items in that line, in your project.

Once you’ve chosen your ‘line’, the rest of the design is up to you! You choose your stamp set, colours (unless specified) layout and embellishments.  Let’s get started!

That’s the line I chose – the horizontal one from the bottom left to top right. The ‘something new’ I chose to use is the brand new Concord & 9th Turnabout Tool Kit! I showed you a project yesterday I had made with it – you can see it HERE. Today’s card uses the full size stamp set and some of the dies that came in the kit.

The stamp set and dies included in the kit are called Everyday Bouquet. Using the Turnabout Jig makes using the turnabout stamp set SO easy – and fun! First, choose the colours you want to use. Since the stamp set is turned 3 times in total, that means you ink up the image 4 times. You must use your MISTI, or other stamping platform, to use the turnabout stamps.

The 4 colours I chose are Mustard Seed Distress Ink, and Grapefruit Grove, Tranquil Tide and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Up! Classic inks. Simply use 1 colour per ‘turn’ of the stamp, to get this beautiful bouquet!

For the foliage, I used my Big Shot with the Everyday Bouquet Dies and die cut from Grapefruit Grove and Mint Macaron cardstock. The sentiment from the Everyday Bouquet is stamped onto Whisper White cardstock, and then die cut using the Everyday Bouquet dies. I lightly sponged the sentiment edges with Mint Macaron ink.

The sentiment is popped up across the middle of the bouquet with foam squares. Next, I attached the die cut foliage with liquid glue, tucked under the sentiment on opposite corners. The stamped panel is then layered onto a panel of Tranquil Tide cardstock, and then onto a card base of Grapefruit Grove.

I kept the card clean & simple, so that the beautiful bouquet could stay in the spotlight. I can’t wait to try out different colour combinations, and ways to use this bundle! I’ll definitely be ordering more of the turnabout stamp sets, now that Concord & 9th have made this Turnabout Jig available! I did purchase the kit, but you can also now purchase it separately, if you already have some of these stamp sets.

I hope you’ll join us in this week’s fun Tic Tac Toe Challenge PCC324! For more inspiration, head over to our Paper Craft Crew challenge page, to see what the rest of the Design Team have created. That’s also where you’ll find the link, to add your card.

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

    1. I know you have this kit & love it too, Susan 🙂 I think my colours were unconsciously influence by the belly band on the box! (hindsight = 20/20)

    1. Thank you, Buffy! I’m glad you like the bouquet. I”m looking forward to trying out endless colour combinations!

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
