Tranquil Tulips

Hello again, stamping friend! I’m back again to day to share this quick card, using the Tranquil Tulips Host Set. This is a beautiful stamp set, with a total of 22 photopolymer stamps. And at the Host price of only $13 (valued at $22) it’s a great deal, too!

Tranquil Tulips

Our area is getting ready to enjoy some long-awaited sunshine this weekend, and the Crocus flowers peeking out inspired this card.

The Tranquil Tulips is a 2-step stamp set, which means you can create depth and shadows just using ink. I have to admit though – I don’t remember the combination of purples that I used on each flower; just that I had fun!

First, stamp the stems and leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink onto the Whisper White cardstock panel. This makes it easier to place your flowers. The purples I used for the flowers are Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder and Fresh Fig. The stamps being photopolymer makes it easy to line up your 2 step stamping very easily! The sentiment is from the Daisy Delight stamp set, in Elegant Eggplant ink.

To create the unique ends on the sentiment banner, I slid the cardstock into the end of the retired label punches. Then I layered the sentiment over a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

After attaching the stamped panel onto a panel of Pear Pizzazz cardstock with Dimensionals, I wrapped a length of 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon in Fresh Fig around both layers. To keep it attached, use a bit of Tear & Tape on the back of the panels. Next, attach the sentiment on top of the ribbon, with Dimensionals.

Finally, the card is finished off with Pearl Basic Jewels, and attached to the card base of Elegant Eggplant cardstock.

You can make this quick and easy card, too! To purchase the Tranquil Tulips Host Set, you must place a qualifying order of $200 or more. The great part of doing that right now, is that you’ll also qualify for either 2-Level 1 Sale-A-Bration products, or 1-Level 2 product!

To order the products I used, click on the product images below. You can shop in my  online store 24/7. Now is also a great time to stock up on your basics, such as adhesives, cardstock and envelopes. And don’t forget about the Retiring 2016-2018 In Colours; Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum.  PLEASE don’t wait for the Retiring List to come out in April, before stocking up on your ink pads, reinkers and cardstock in these colours! Everyone knows they’re retiring, and they’ll be gone before the 1st day is over.

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

    1. Susan, this is a great compliment coming from you – the queen of CAS! Because as you know, CAS is not my strong suite! Thanks so much 🙂

    1. I agree, Buffy! Just when we think spring is here – boom – more snow! It’s teasing us here this weekend; we’re expecting high temps of 17C !

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
