I’ve been working on some new art, and I have one completed to share with you! It’s called the Twisted Star pattern, and it’s created with a 3D pattern template, resin, alcohol inks, and glitter. There’s something else NEW about this piece, and others that I’m working on – the substrate. The base is a beautiful brushed silver panel! Take a look at how the colours seem to glow!
Isn’t this gorgeous?! The translucence of the green and blue alcohol inks allow the ‘shine’ of the brushed silver panel reflect the light. To enhance that, I used a super-fine iridescent silver glitter as the background. Here’s another look, below.
The panel measures 8″ x 8″, and is placed in a black wood frame, with the glass removed. This means you can touch & feel this gorgeous art! Leaving the glass in the frame would, I think, just cause unnecessary glare, and impede the beauty of the piece.
WALL OR DESK
The nice thing about this frame is that the backing allows you to either stand this on a desk or credenza, or hang it on your wall. The photo below shows it hanging on a wall in my house.
Sorry about the shadows! I’m not a professional photographer, that’s for sure!
AVAILABLE SOON!
I’ll be listing this piece in my Shop soon. I have another piece that’s almost finished, and I’ll be listing them at the same time. Here’s a peek at the other piece – a Sunset Tree.
I’ve mounted this 6″ x 6″ panel onto a wooden cradle board, but it still requires finishing. I think that this one *really* glows, on the brushed silver panel! Stay tuned -I’ll let you know when they’re both listed in my Shop.
