TWO WEEK CHALLENGE FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Wow – Christmas is almost here! And that’s why we have a two week challenge for the holidays, with the Paper Craft Crew. But if I can give a word of advice? Get it done now, before the big rush starts! Unless, of course, you’ll have some ‘down time’ after Christmas – and maybe some special new stamps to play with?!
PCC319 SKETCH
It’s a fun sketch for you to start with for your project. Remember, you can change the orientation – meaning, flip it sideways or upside down. And of course the stamp set, colours and embellishment choices are all yours.
You can also change the star shapes to something else, if you want. That’s what I did – have a look at my card.
SIGNS OF SANTA
This fun card actually only has 1 bit of stamping – on the sign! Everything else is die cut from the Santa’s Workshop Specialty Designer Series Paper.
Isn’t this fun? Santa is in his sleigh, getting ready for the big delivery, and the elves are loading up the packages.
CARD FRONT DETAILS
Start with a card base of Thick Whisper White cardstock. Add a panel of the striped and flocked Santa’s Workshop Specialty DSP, attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next, cut 2 panels of cardstock; one of Garden Green, the second of Poppy Parade, 1/4″ larger than the green. Cut a strip of Garden Green cardstock at 1″ x 5″, and use the Banner Triple Punch to create tails on both ends. Attach the strip to the back of the Poppy Parade panel, with Tombow Multi Purpose Glue.
Run the Garden Green cardstock through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. Layer this panel on top of the Poppy Parade one, with more Dimensionals.
For the Santa in his sleigh and the small elves, hand cut them from the Santa’s Workshop Specialty DSP. If you have the Santa’s Signpost Framelits, you can die cut the North Pole sign with the Big Shot. Stamp another sign onto a scrap of Whisper White in Memento Black ink, and the words in Poppy Parade ink. Die cut this 2nd sign, and layer it on top of the pole with a Dimensional.
Layer all of the images onto the panels as shown, with more Dimensionals.
Don’t you wish you could hop aboard with Santa? What a fun ride that would be!
DECORATE THE INSIDE
This Specialty DSP is such fun, I couldn’t resist cutting one more elf from the paper, to add to the inside of the card. As always, I added another panel of white cardstock inside.
ARE YOU READY FOR THE HO-HO-HOLIDAYS?!
Don’t forget about the Year End Close-out that’s happening until January 2nd! You can always let your friends & family know that you don’t mind it if your gift is a little late. *wink* You can still get the Signs of Santa stamp set, but the Bundle, the Framelits and paper are all sold out.
JOIN IN OUR TWO WEEK CHALLENGE FOR THE HOLIDAYS
It’s always nice to have a little ‘me time’ during the busiest time of the year. So if you can, carve out a bit of time, and put your card together for the challenge. If you’re looking for more inspiration, see what the rest of the Design Team have created – on our Paper Craft Crew challenge page. That’s also where you’ll find the link, to add your card.
If you’re needing some supplies, you can click on either the product images or the Closeout sign below, to go directly to my online store. It’s open 24/7, so you can shop (when you’re supposed to be sleeping! Don’t worry – I won’t tell Santa!)
Oh, this is so stinking cute! Great thought to use the gifts scattered around!
So glad you like this Santa card, Brynn! I appreciate your kind comment 🙂
This is so cute, Deborah! I just read Amelia a Christmas story, and this is a perfect card for the illustration.
How nice that my card worked with your story! Thanks for the kind comment, Buffy 🙂
