Wacky Watercooler New Catalog(ue) Blog Hop

Welcome to the Wacky Watercooler New Catalog(ue) Blog Hop!!
I'm sure you're wondering about a couple of things (at least!)

First – why 'Wacky Watercooler'?
Well, I met this fabulous group of demonstrators the website that Stampin' Up! set up just for demonstrators, on a thread that the original poster (Darrah Hopper) decided to call the 'Watercooler', as it's a place to gather, and talk about anything & everything – not just stamping related.
Here's the description you'll read on the Home page for this Blog Hop " We are a creative group of Independent Stampin' Up Demonstrators who hang out together on our demonstrator website in the Wacky Women's Watercooler thread. We share stamping, business, life, love, animals and pretty much whatever comes into our heads with a generally wacky slant on most things. Luckily being virtual the watercooler is always open for fun, frivolity and most of all creativity."

Next, if you're one of my Canadian friends, you may be wondering 'why is catalogue spelled 'catalog(ue)'?
Well, of course that's because some of the demonstrators are from the United States, and even other places around the world!  And of course, we don't always spell things the same way, so this is our (hopefully funny) nod to that!

So, maybe that explains it, maybe not – but we certainly hope you'll have fun joining in the Blog Hop with us!

And now – on with the Blog Hop!

If you started at the beginning, you've probably joined me from the talented Heidi Weaver's blog http://heidistampinalong.blogspot.com/ .  Aren't her creations amazing!?  I always love going to Heidi's blog and checking out her latest creations.

The Blog Hop goes in a 'circular' fashion, so it doesn't matter where you start – if you just keep clicking the 'next' button after viewing each blog, you'll make your way through all of the blogs.  If you're not sure if you've seen all of them, you can always click the 'Home' button, or any of the blogs listed (below).

Without further ado – here are my cards, created specifically for this inaugural Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop!
This card is made using the 2 new stamps sets from the new Catalogue; World Map (item #130342wm/130345cm), and Chalk Talk (item #130631wm/130634cm).
I achieved the colouring on the world map by first lightly dragging my Crumb Cake and Old Olive Classic Ink Pads over the image, then added So Saffron, Sky Blue and Island Indigo with Sponge Daubers.
As soon as I saw the new stamp set called 'Perfect Blend' (item #130745wm/131392cm), I knew I had to have it!!  I am a major coffee lover, and I know so many other people who are too, I knew I'd get lots of use out of it!
Of course, to 'rule the world' does take a lot of coffee, which inspired me to stamp a lot of coffee cups! (I don't drink that much during the day!)
I wanted to showcase some of the new In Colours as well; the background coffee cups are stamped in Baked Brown Sugar ink, and the front cup is stamped in Coastal Cabana.  The card stock base is also in Coastal Cabana, topped with the new Soho Subway designer series paper.

Before you head off, I would just like to say 'thank you' to the very talented Jean Fitch, demonstrator extraordinaire, who coordinated this Hop for us, and is always there for us demonstrators when we have questions.  ((Hugs)) to you, Jean !

I hope you've enjoyed seeing my cards!  If you'd like to leave a comment, I love reading them 🙂

Now to head off to the amazing Kathe D's blog http://kathesadventure.blogspot.com/ just click the watercooler below called 'Next'.
If you want to go back & admire Heidi's work again, click 'Previous', or to go to our Watercooler Stamping Home Page, just click on the 'Home' watercooler.

Enjoy the Hop!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

    1. I’m so glad you like it, Bev!  Thanks so much for visiting our Blog Hop – I  hope you enjoy all the terrific creations! 🙂

  1. Deb – It’s been a wonderful experience being part of the hop with everyone. You are so sweet to add the hugs and compliments. Hugs and love right back at you. All our members of the hop do so much to make our demonstrator community site such a great place to hang out.

I see your secret is out…world domination…comes through loud and clear in your creations! LoL. Now if we can just keep the coffee coming your way what a sweet world it will be. Thanks for sharing your creative outlook. I really love the multiple cups especially. Brilliant! And that from someone who drinks tea or Pepsi. 😀

Hope to see you for the next Holiday Catalog hop coming soon.

    1. You’re the best, Jean! 🙂

Oops – I tipped my hand – don’t let the secret out about my intentions to ‘rule the world’!   Thanks for everything, my friend!

  2. Ooooh, Deborah, you’ve used that infamous map stamp. I love it! Absolutely love it. It’s on my wish list and now I’m itching to try some ideas. I have that coffee stamp set and haven’t used it yet. Love the way you stamped it multiple times. That’s my empties lying there on a particularly hard day! Now I’m just going to have to introduce that stamp to some ink.

    1. I’m so happy you like the World Map stamp, Heidi!  It seemed like such a long wait to get it – it was worth the wait 🙂   Have fun with the ‘Perfect Cup’ set, too (just don’t drink that many, all at once!)

  3. I love that you used the World Map stamp. I don’t have it yet and was hoping we might get it at Convention! Now I have to order it. And the coffee cup stamps too!

    1. Thanks so much for the compliment, Gail!  I’m so glad you like the World Map stamp – now go order it! LOL 🙂

  4. Deb, I thought I left a comment but it’s not on here so here I go again. If I did comment and you just haven’t moderated it yet, just delete this one.

I love your World Map card. I was so annoyed that the set disappeared for a while because I loved it when I first saw it in the new catalogue. The way you’ve done it, with the colours dragged over the cardstock really makes the card. That coffee card is so me after a rough day. All those empties in the background could be mine. I just received that set and haven’t used it yet but now I’m inspired. Love the card.

    1. Such a wonderful compliment – thank you, Joyce!  I hope you enjoyed visiting all the blogs 🙂

    1. Ah, the finest of compliments!!  Thanks so much, Darrah! 🙂  You are the original Watercooler woman, in more than 1 sense of the word; now that convention is over, you’ll be joining in the Holiday Hop, right?! ♥

    1. No worries, Beth – it posted on the one beneath!  It’s the thought that counts 🙂

    1. I’m so glad you like it, Elizabeth!  Thanks for ‘hopping’ by – I  hope you enjoyed all the wonderful blogs 🙂

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
