WARM WINTER WISHES
I know that it only ‘officially’ turned winter a few days ago, but I’ve been working on Christmas/holiday cards for so many months, it feels like it should be spring by now! But – it’s not, so I’m here to share a cute card with the sentiment of Warm Winter Wishes. A cute fox and a hot beverage would make me happy!
KEEPING IT SIMPLE
This little fox with his scarf is so cute, I wanted to keep the focus on the image.
I had ordered this stamp set and adorable paper a couple of weeks ago, and received it just before Christmas. So this is my first time playing with both.
CARD FRONT DETAILS
First, cut a panel of your favourite White cardstock. Stamp the image from the Lawn Fawn Winter Fox stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and the sentiment in SU! Blueberry Bushel ink. To colour the fox, I used a combination of SU! markers and Blends alcohol markers. For the scarf, use the Blueberry Bushel and Pineapple Punch Markers. Colour the fox with the Calypso Coral Combo Blends, To colour the cup, use the Bermuda Bay Combo Blends, and the Light Crumb Cake Blends for the cocoa. The shadow beneath the fox is done with the Light Smoky Slate Blends.
Once finished colouring, layer the image panel onto a 1/4″ larger panel of Blueberry Bushel cardstock. Next, layer that onto a panel of Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Chill paper, and then onto a card base of Blueberry Bushel cardstock. The layering is all done with either Foam Squares or Tape, or Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To finish off the card front, I added some cute rhinestones from the Pretty Pink Posh Starry Sky Mix.
I think this special fox deserved some bling!
