Watercolour Seahorses

Yes, I’m at it again with my paints! This time I’ve got watercolour seahorses to share with you. I  had such fun painting the single seahorse shared in THIS POST, that I thought he could use a friend.  So I chose a royalty free photo from Unsplash as my reference, and combined it with the original one I used.

WATERCOLOUR SEAHORSES

First, I drew the seahorses and plants in pencil, on Arches cold press watercolour paper. I’m thinking that this setting is in a fish tank, rather than in the ocean. Then I painted with my Brusho Crystal Colours.

I like how the smaller seahorse is holding onto the grasses with his tail!  A lot of colours were used for this painting, including Sea Green, Turquoise, Phthalo Blue, Scarlet, Yellow Ochre, and Leaf Green.  I also used the Sprinkle IT gold, again.

Well, I’m off to work on more projects! What do you think will be coming next? More watercolour, or alcohol inks? Maybe a new resin piece?  Tell me what your guess is, or what you’d like to see next!  Have a great day, and happy creating!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
