Hey there, my friend! Since I had my Brusho paints out after painting the Op Art pieces I shared, I decided to paint the weekly inspiration photo. (If you missed my Op Art pieces, you can see them in THIS POST).  The weekly inspiration photo is something that I post each Monday, in the FB Brusho Fun group. I choose a royalty free image from a site such as Pixabay, Unsplash, etc., and share it in the group. The idea is for everyone to use it as a  ‘kick off’ to get painting each week. Of course participation is voluntary, but it can be a good way to get painting, if you’ve hit a ‘block’.

WATERCOLOUR WOODEN BOAT

I like this photo that I found on Pixabay, for it’s textures and shading. It’s of an old wooden boat at sunrise, with a pier in the distance. Below is the photo reference.

And below is my Brusho watercolour painting!

I’m pretty happy with how it turned out! I used all Brusho Crystal Colours, in Turquoise, Yellow Ochre, Sandstone, Light Brown, Grey, and some blending to make my own shades.

UPCOMING SALE

As you may recall, I shared that I came down with COVID after my vacation. That meant that I had to withdraw from last weekend’s art show & sale. And that means – I have A LOT of stock that is taking up a lot of room in my house! So, I’ll be spending this week adding all of the new items to my store. Then I plan on having a BLOW OUT SALE! You will not want to miss this one – it’s going to be HUGE, and it’s going to include everything, including the paintings that I’ve never listed in my Shop before.

So, be sure to visit my Shop HERE frequently over this week, and get your list ready. I’ll be making an announcement as soon as my Shop is up to date with the products, paintings, and Sale details.

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

  1. This is wonderful, Deborah! Your Brusho boat is lovely. I am so sorry you had to pull out of the show! I know you worked hard and were looking forward to it. Hope you’re feeling better.

  2. Thank you, Buffy! I did enjoy painting this boat scene. I’m finally on the mend – if this cough would just *go away*!!

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
