It’s not just Wednesday – it’s Watercooler Wednesday!

Welcome back for our weekly challenge; this week Marsha has chosen a fabulous sketch challenge for us to complete:

WWC70 - Marsha's Sketch Challenge

I’ve been playing with the new Painter’s Palette stamp set, so I wanted to try using it in a bit of a different way – without the easel!

WWC70 Painter's Palette

This card uses ALL new products – the stamp sets, cardstock, and inks!

I started with a card base of the new Emerald Envy.  Trust me – the picture doesn’t do justice to this colour at all – you have to see it in person!  It’s a gorgeous green, that is both deep, and bright at the same time.  I dunno how – but it is! 😉

The next panel is of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock, another yummy new colour.  I then added a patterned strip of the new Playful Palette DSP Paper Stack.  I then stamped my square of Very Vanilla cardstock with a sentiment from the Painter’s Palette stamp set in Emerald Envy, then added 2 sizes of the brushstroke images in Sweet Sugarplum and Peekaboo Peach (aren’t these names great?!  You can’t help but smile as you’re saying them).  After adding my sentiment to the card front using Dimensionals, I stamped 1 large and 1 medium brushstroke image in Emerald Envy and Sweet Sugarplum, and cut them out with my Paper Snips, and added them as the elements to the left side of the sentiment.

This was a fun and quick card to put together!  I hope you enjoyed seeing my card – now you’ll definitely want to see what the rest of the Watercooler Artists have created for your inspiration, so head over to the Watercooler Wednesday page, and have a look.  Then you’ll want to create your own card, and link up for the challenge.  Who knows – you may be our top pick for the week!

Until next time – happy stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

  1. Great card! This paper is sure growing on me as i see more samples using it. I’m glad I bought it after all!

  2. Hi Deborah. I love what you’ve done with the Painter’s Pallete products in this card. It just shows the versatility of these products. Those little brush strokes off the sentiment piece are such fun! Thanks for sharing your wonderful card.

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
