Hello again, Stamping Friends!

Gosh, it sure is good to be back on-line!  I want to say Congratulations to Marlene, who was the 1st to leave a comment on yesterday's post – good for you, Marlene!!  I've sent you an email (check your 'spam' file – LOL), for your details on getting your prize to you.

For you other Stamping Friends – c'mon!!  Don't be shy!  There's 2 more Blog Candy prizes to be won; leave your comment on either this post, or yesterday's post (June 22nd), and you could be a lucky winner just like Marlene!

Okay – back to sharing of another kind!  Shortly after my computer died it's untimely death, the Creation Station crew had another Blog Tour – in which I was supposed to participate, but hey – hard to do a blog tour without a working computer!

I really missed doing the Blog Tour, so what I did was incorporate the theme of the Tour into my next class that week, which was Weddings and Anniversaries.  We had a great time at the class, and used some new stamp sets from the new catalogue!

Here are the cards that we made:

I love that this card can be  used for either a wedding or an anniversary!  Hearts of course are timeless symbols of love, and if you wanted to step up this card, you could use a back panel of either Silver or Gold Glimmer Paper (pg. 193) instead of the Whisper White.  The small hearts took a while to cut out, as I used the Hearts Framelits Collection – but I could only cut out 1 at a time, using the smallest heart die!  I used Real Red and Whisper White cardstock, and Real Red DSP from the Backgrounds DSP Paper Stacks – Brights, Real Red ink, and the stamp set "Something to Say".

This card could also be used for either a wedding or anniversary; the terrific new stamp set is called "Cheers to Love".  It's a great set, as it also includes sentiments 'Thank you so Much', "For the Bride", and 'Save the Date', which are perfect if you're planning wedding showers, or in charge of sending out the Thank You notes!   I once again used the Backgrounds Designer Series Paper Stacks, this time from the 2013-15 In Colour Collection, using Pistachio Pudding.  The sentiment is stamped in Pistachio Pudding ink onto Whisper White cardstock cut with the Banners Framelits, all layered onto a base of Baked Brown Sugar cardstock.  I embellished the card using a bit of retired ribbon, and stamped & punched some flowers from the Petite Petals stamp set, using the Petite Petals Punch.  I used my good ol' favourite, the Bird Builder Punch, for the little leaves.

This quick & easy card has a base of Whisper White, under a panel of Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock.  The DSP is from the Lullaby pack, and once again I used the "Cheers to Love" set for the "Mr." and "Mrs."  The '&' symbol comes from "Perfect Pennants" stamp set – I simply used my Hello Honey marker to colour in just the ampersand, and not the words!  How do you like the new In Colour Sequins?!  Aren't these adorable?  They're very tiny – they seem to shrink as you're trying to apply the glue, LOL, but they come in all the 2013-15 In Colours, and are a wonderful addition to my arsenal of embellishments 🙂

This card is my CASE (Copy And Share Everything) of the card on page 69 of the Catalogue – I just love the set Everything Eleanor, and since I just acquired it – perfect timing!  First I stamped the 'flourish' onto my Whisper White cardstock base, the glued a Tea Lace Paper Doily to the right side of it, and place a strip of Blackberry Bliss stitched satin ribbon on top.  Then on a seperate piece of Whisper White cardstock, I stamped the Label form in Hello Honey, the 3 flowers in Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon and Tangelo Twist, and finally the bird in Tangelo Twist.  After fussy-cutting all of those, I inked up just part of the stamp from "Cheers to Love" set in Blackberry Bliss, and adhered everything using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I know that the class really enjoyed creating these cards; their favourite was the 1st one, with the hearts in red & white.  What's your favourite?  Honestly, mine has to be this last one, the 'case' of the catalogue card!  I just love the combination of colours and textures.

Now, I know I'm too late to participate in the last Creation Station Blog Tour – but that doesn't mean you have to miss it!!  If you'd like to visit all the posts for the 'Weddings' Tour, please see the list of participating blogs below, and enjoy!  Just click on the 1st blog, and as long as you keep clicking 'Next' after each post, you'll go all the way 'round to the beginning.  If you get lost at any time, just come back here, and pick up where you left off on the list.

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)
