Okay – now onto the really fun part – Stamping!!  Yup, that's what we love about Stampin' Up!, right?  All the wonderful stamps, inks, and coordinating products.

Well, I recently pulled out the new Watercolour Wonder Designer Note Cards & Envelopes (#133362 $15.95), and had some fun 🙂

Here's what you get – 20 printed cards- 3 1/2" x 5" size; 4 each of 5 designs, plus 20 Ivory coloured envelopes.

These note cards are just beautiful – watercolour paper, with all the water colour backgrounds already done for you!  But don't worry – there's still lots of room for you to do your own stamping and colouring.

For this first card, I chose the beautiful peony image card, and stamped the sentiment from the set Another Great Year (#133038wm/#133041cm Occasions Catalogue) in Black StazOn ink.

This card is already so gorgeous, I didn't want to detract from the flowers, so I kept my colouring to a minimum.  Using the Tangerine Tango Stampin' Write Marker, I lightly filled in the 'Happy' and 'To You'.  Then, using the Tangerine Tango ink pad, I picked up some ink with my Blender Pen, and shaded the edges of the banners above and below the 'Birthday'.   I was happy with the card just like that, but of course you could always add some more colour, or some 'bling' if you wanted.

On this next card I wanted to do some watercolouring of my own, so I chose the card with the blank oval shape in the centre.  I stamped the poppy image from Simply Sketched (hostess set in the Annual Catalogue – #129672cm/#129669wm) in Black StazOn ink in the centre.

To achieve the colouring on the flowers, I used my Aqua Painter (#103954 Annual Catalogue) and reinkers in the colours Crisp Cantaloupe, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red, as I was trying to reflect the colours on the card base.  I took my time, blending the colours one at a time until I was happy with the outcome.  Then I used the Aqua Painter and Gumball Green reinker to colour the stems.

*To use the reinkers, what I did was open up the matching colour ink pad, and just put a couple of drops of the reinker on the lid of the ink pad (matching the reinker colour to the ink pad colour – don't mix up your reinkers and ink pads!)  That way, when I was done, I could just close the lid and not worry about wasting the reinker.  I filled my Aqua Painter just 1/2 full of tap water; it doesn't take a lot of water, especially since it was just this small image I was colouring.  Then you just touch the tip of your Aqua Painter into the reinker, and apply it to your stamped image. *

I then stamped the sentiment – also from Simply Sketched – in Gumball Green ink onto Whisper White cardstock, and punched it out using the Large Oval Punch (#119855).  I used the Scallop Oval Punch (#119856) to punch out the Crisp Cantaloupe oval, and stacked the 2 together with Dimensionals, and adhered it to the card with another Dimensional.

I hope that seeing this terrific note card set, and how easy it is to make fabulous cards with it, will encourage you to purchase it and make your own masterpieces!  I know that your friends and family will be thrilled to receive a hand made card from you 🙂

Please take advantage of the current Weekly Deals, the update Clearance Rack, and better yet – the Terrific deal of Joining my Team – we're the INKcredibly Creative Crew – as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!

I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon!  Until then – Happy Stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
