You may recognize this Wendy Vecchi Country Flowers set from our recent Scrap ‘N Stamp blog hop. If you missed that, you can check it out HERE. The awesome thing about these sets is that they include the stamps, coordinating dies, and stencils – all in one! Just add your own ink & creativity. Today’s card uses the stamps and one of the dies.
A LITTLE HELLO
This is a nice, simple card with a bit of dimension. That keeps it from being too simple; that and the foiled patterned paper! Amazing what you can find in your stash, isn’t it?
All of the main images are 2 part stamping; I just left off the base stamping for the leaves.
CARD DETAILS
Since I had pulled the paper from my stash of Stampin’ Up! supplies, I also used the SU! coordinating inks. When stamping the flowers, start with the light pink base, and then stamp the darker detail on top. There’s actually a 3rd stamp for the flowers – the very center. By die cutting a flower from scrap paper, I use that as the mask, to stamp the background flower, and leaves. The butterfly is stamped the same way, on a small piece of white cardstock. First stamp the base in a light colour, then the details in a darker ink. Use the coordinating dies from the set to die cut the butterfly.
Layer all of the pieces together, as seen above. The sentiment is stamped in the blue/green ink, from the Penny Black Perfect Pairing set. It’s the perfect size for this card front!
You can see on the photo above, that the flowers on the paper are foiled in the light pink.
