Happy Friday, my friend! So, what are you creating today? I admit – I don’t have a finished project to show you today. That’s because I’m creating today – working on some projects that I’ll be sharing on Monday! Let me show you some of the supplies that I have out, and see if you can guess what I’m working on.
Pretty good hint, don’t you think?! Ha ha! Does it involve alcohol ink? Yup! Does it involve resin? Yup! What is that rectangle ceramic plate in the front? That’s not a supply item. Well – you’ll have to come back on Monday to see that completed project. As for the Hard-Core Art Panel…let’s just say ‘stay tuned’!
SCRAP ‘N STAMP CHALLENGE PROMPT
As you know, I’m part of the Design Team for Scrap ‘N Stamp. And, every month we have a Daily Challenge. There’s a new ‘prompt’ or word each day of the month. We in the DT choose the words for our sharing days, and then we create a project (or two) to share, based on the word of the day!
You can find the Daily Challenge on the Scrap ‘N Stamp Facebook Challenge page HERE. (yes, you do have to have access to FB-sorry!). Play along with as many days as you want. Once you’ve completed your project for any given day, share a picture of your project on the challenge page, with the hashtag #snschallenge. At the end of the month, one lucky winner is randomly chosen to receive a $50 Gift Card to Scrap ‘N Stamp!
Have you guessed what my challenge word is for Monday? You got it – RESIN! You’ll also want to check out Sunday’s challenge, chosen by Chala; her prompt is Alcohol Inks! CLICK HERE to see her post on Sunday – I’m not going to give away what her project is, you have to see it for yourself! I think it was just ‘meant to be’ that we separately chose our prompt words, and they just happen to be back-to-back. Serendipity?
HAVE YOU USED RESIN?
I’ve used resin for some of my projects in the past – have you ever tried it? On Monday I’ll be showing new projects, but I’ll also link back to projects I’ve already done. I’m really excited for these new projects, and a little nervous, too. But, if you’re not pushing yourself to try new projects, then you’re not learning, and growing as an artist. At the very least, when you try something new, you’ll find out if you like it or not! (hmm…that line was used on my as a child, related to vegetables…it works much better with art!) If you have used resin, I’d love to hear what you’ve created with it; please leave a comment on this post!
Until Monday, if you’d like to play along with my resin challenge on Monday, I’m linking places to get your supplies from, below. Have a fun and creative weekend!
