WHAT’S GOING ON?!
If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you might just be wondering what’s going on?! I mean – where the heck have I been hiding, and why haven’t I had a new post for you every day? That’s how it usually goes; Monday to Friday, you can count on a new post from me. Sometimes on the weekend too, if there’s something special happening.
Well, what’s been going on is that I’ve been very busy with 2 of my team members, Lynn and Margaret, with preparations for our upcoming Crop & Create! Yesterday, Thursday, was the last day to register for the 2 classes being offered. The registration for the Crop is still open, until May 1st. For more information on the Crop & Create and how to register, check out THIS POST.
I’m happy to say that we now have EVERYTHING ready for both classes – that includes all the kits cut and sorted, and ready for each participant. We’ve each been working on our part of the goody bags that everyone who attends will receive – we think you’re going to be thrilled with what you get! Today we’re putting them all together 🙂
I still have to initial all of my punches, dies, embossing folders and my Big Shot and Paper Trimmer, as I’ll be bringing all of them along for the Crop registrants to use. That’s a LOT of things I have to mark! The other team members will be bringing their tools as well, so there will be a huge selection to use, and no line ups, as we’ll have multiple Big Shots!
I did carve out a wee bit of time yesterday to make this card to share with you! I used the lovely Delightful Daisy suite of products.
DAISY DELIGHT
Terrific news – the Daisy Delight stamp set and the Daisy Punch ARE carrying over to the new Annual catalogue! I’m so glad, because I just love this set. The bad news is that the BUNDLE special pricing is NOT carrying over. Which means if you want to get both of them together and SAVE 10%, you need to order before May 31st!
DETAILS
I decided to combine some of the new In Colors inks for this card. First, on separate Whisper White cardstock stamp the daisy image twice. I used the new Blueberry Bushel ink. Stamp the middle of the Daisy. I used the new Pineapple Punch for the base, then stamped the texture detail in Grapefruit Grove. You’re going to love these new colours!
Use the Daisy Punch to punch out each daisy, then cut each one in half with your Paper Snips. Attach 3 half daisies on top of each other with Mini Glue Dots. Next, stamp the sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White in the Blueberry Bushel ink.
Use the Banner Triple Punch to create banner tails on each end of the sentiment, and on one end of a 2″ x 4″ strip of Delightful Daisy DSP. Cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of the dotted Delightful Daisy DSP, and attach it to a Night of Navy cardstock card base, with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next, stamp the flower stem in the new Call Me Clover green ink, directly onto the DSP. Attach the punch daisy flower at the top of the stem with another Dimensional. Now, attach the banner DSP to the left of the daisy, and the sentiment across the bottom, with more Dimensionals.
Finish off the card front by attaching 3 Pearl Basic Jewels to the upper right hand corner of the card front.
INSIDE STAMPING
I generally handwrite a message on the inside of my thank you cards, so I didn’t stamp a sentiment. But I couldn’t just leave a blank inside panel! I stamped the small daisy image from the Daisy Delight stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink down the right side of the panel.
RETIRING PRODUCTS
Unfortunately, the pretty Delightful Daisy DSP has already sold out, as it was on the Retiring List. Make sure you don’t miss out on any more of the retiring products – I’d hate to see you with a sad face! Stamp sets will be guaranteed available until May 25th; after that, they join the rest of the retiring products in the ‘while supplies last’ category. So please, if you’re thinking that you want a particular Bundle (you save 10%, remember!), or any other product now is not the time to procrastinate!

Don’t make me say “I told you so!” If you have any questions, please leave a comment on this post – I love to read what you think about my projects – or send me an email. Although the new ink pads are pictured, you won’t be able to order them – yet! You will have a chance next month in a special ‘pre-order like a demo’, so stay tuned! 🙂
