Wildflower Wishes

My February Paper Pumpkin arrived, so I had a great time putting it together yesterday! This month’s kit is called Wildflower Wishes, and it certainly puts me in the mood for spring. Especially since we had a snowfall this weekend, and our ‘high’ temperature is about 0 Celcius!

Whenever this bright red box arrives, I know I’m in for some ‘me time’!

Opening the red box is half the fun! When you first open it, you get to unwrap the pretty blue tissue paper, and see the ink spot, the stamp set and the wrapped kit. The picture on the front shows you what your finished products will look like (if you follow the instructions – but feel free to go on your own creative tangent!).

Wildflower Wishes

This month’s kit, called Wildflower Wishes, creates 3 cards of each of these 3 designs. They’re a beautiful combination of soft, natural colours and the bright flowers you’d find growing in a field.

Wildflower Wishes

To create these cards, you peel of the negative of the label, and layer it over a slightly smaller label with the wildflower print. It’s a bit difficult to see, but on the panel behind the label, it has it’s own little flower print. I used the flower stamps in some different colours than the Garden Green ink spot that came with the kit. Here, I used Bermuda Bay ink.

Can you also see the adorable flower sticker, on the inside corner? The liner in the envelopes matches the print behind the cut out letters.

The kit also comes with Vellum banners, for stamping accompanying messages to go with the die cut sentiment. On this card, I stamped the flowers with Calypso Coral ink. The sentiment says ‘celebrate your awesomeness’.

Along with the Vellum banners, there are pretty fun die cut Vellum leaves.  On this card, the flowers are stamped in Rose Red ink, and the sentiment says ‘hello sweet friend’.

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
