Welcome to another edition of Watercooler Wednesday challenges!

I hope you’re in a creative mood, because this week is Libby’s turn to host, and she has decided that the challenge will be ‘Anything Goes – Masculine Theme’:

Since I’m still in Christmas mode (yes, I know – it’s still over a month until Christmas! but trust me – I’ve been creating for Christmas for the last 1 1/2 months!), this is what I came up with:

I love these Santa hats! 🙂  They’re so quick & easy to put together using the Jolly Hat Builder Punch, too.

I punched the main hat part from Real Red cardstock, and used Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for the brim and pom-pom.  I glued the brim on using the Multipurpose Liquid Glue, and Glue Dots for the pom-pom.

I used a panel of Cherry Cobbler cardstock, and glued on a piece of the striped pattern from the Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper, then attached the Santa hats using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the card base, I embossed the Emerald Envy cardstock using the Cable Knit Dynamic Texture Impressions Embossing Folder.  I love the deep texture this folder creates; by lightly misting your cardstock with water before embossing, it allows for the deepest embossing, without damaging the cardstock.

After embossing, I layered the panel with the hats, and added the sentiment underneath.  (the sentiment is from a retired stamp set Christmas Bliss).

This card came together nice & quickly – which is great, if you want to make a lot of them!  I hope you’ll check out the rest of the designs by the team; just head over to the Watercooler Wednesday blog page, then link your card for the challenge!  Remember – anything goes, as long as it has a ‘masculine’ theme!

Until next time – happy stamping!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)
