Z Fold Card with Springtime Foils

I hope you didn’t miss out getting this beautiful Springtime Foils DSP during Sale-a-Bration! It’s so beautiful to work with, and colour with our Blends markers.

Today I’m sharing with you a Z Fold Card made with this paper.

Z FOLD CARD with SPRINGTIME FOILS

Z Fold Card with Springtime Foils

For this card, I used the Springtime Foils DSP in 2 different ways. First, I  coloured and cut flowers and leaves from one piece of the patterned paper. Next, I used another pattern and coloured it with my ink pad.

DETAILS

There are several different patterns in this Specialty DSP. For the flowers, use the Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers (Light and Dark) for colouring. Use the Old Olive Combo Blends for the leaves. Next, use your Paper Snips and hand cut them from the piece of DSP.

Cut 3 pieces of the leaf pattern DSP for your Rich Razzleberry cardstock Z Fold card. Next, take your open Pear Pizzazz ink pad, and drag it across the DSP, transferring the ink directly onto the paper. The foil on the DSP will resist the ink, and the ink transfers lightly onto the white areas.

Attach the inked leaf pattern DSP onto the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next, attach the hand cut flowers and leaves to the front panel, with Dimensionals. Have the leaves overhang the panel on the right hand side.

Stamp the sentiment and dots image from the Birthday Blooms stamp set in Rich Razzleberry ink, onto a panel of Whisper White cardstock. Attach it to the back panel, with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

This is a pretty and unique card, made with 2 different panels of the Springtime Foils DSP, and 2 different methods of inking it. I hope you like it!

ORDERING SUPPLIES

Unfortunately, this DSP is no longer available, and our Blends Markers are not orderable right now, due to lack of inventory. Stampin’ Up! is working with the manufacturer of the Blends, so that we get a supply as soon as possible. In the meantime, there are LOTS of other stamped images and DSP that can be coloured with our other mediums; ink pads, Blender Pens, Aqua Painters and Watercolour Pencils. Get creative! That’s what it’s all about, after all 🙂

To order any supplies, you can click on either product images below, or on my signature. You’ll be taken directly to my online store, which is open 24/7 for your convenience. Thanks for spending some time with me today!

I've always liked to create things, but I'm not a great artist, or sculptor, or any type of 'traditional' artist - but I love to create! I love the satisfaction of a completed project. Whether a card, painting or other project - as long as it can create a smile, evoke a feeling, or some type of reaction in the recipient. I hope you will enjoy sharing my creations, and occasional ramblings; I'd enjoy having you create with me! :)

    1. Thanks, Susan! I was really pleased at how well the colour works on this specialty DSP. I’m going to miss it, as well.

  1. Beautiful card, Deborah! I love your coloring on the Springtime Foils, and – like Susan – I’m going to miss this a lot. I’m hoping we have something comparable in the new catalog. (Crossing fingers and can’t wait until Friday!)

I love to read what you have to say! Thanks for commenting ;)
